Do any of you buy vehicle accessories through online sites or just through your dealer? I've noticed some discount sites like http://www.partswebsite.com/myvolvoparts/.

Any advice, thoughts?

Thanks
Chris

I haven't needed many accessories, as the car is well-loaded from new...

But the accessories and parts usually come from my main dealer. If you ask for 10% discount, they usually give that to you.

I negotiated (over the phone before I went to the dealer to collect) my roof bars, and rubber footwell mats, and got at least 10% off. Without having to pay carriage, that was a good price. If I phone on day1, I can usually collect on day2.

I also but genuine oil filters from the dealer (they're only about £10 anyway).

Some other bits (proper temporary spare wheel, upgraded headlight bulbs) bought via ebay or web-shops.

Next purchase is likely to be a tow bar...I'll probably buy a good 3rd party one (witter, brinks or similar)...or maybe 2nd hand...

But- it's always trying your local main dealer, and asking for a discount or price-match.
