New pictures are up.
We did a full checkout yesterday, this was well taken care of [thumbup]
Tranny fluid is recent, (still pretty red). The Angle gear is totally dry! The engine oil was just changed a couple of weeks ago.
All I need to do is fix or replace an errent door lock and calibrate the CCM next door at Volvo, that seems to be it.

I think you said that on the last one which was less money! [sly]

This XC is SOOOOOOOOOOOO nice on the highway. I took it out for a full 30 minute run at speed
I've never driven one with the speed sensitive steering, it makes a HUGE difference.
It feels much more stable at speed and not "twitchy" or "light"... even with the Pirelli Scorpions!
I could only imagine this with a high performance all season tire

That looks very nice, and well equipped.
Did the speed sensitive steering came only on '07 in P2?

It came on V70Rs (standard) starting in 2004.
When it became an option...I have absolutely no idea.
I do recall now that it did become available, whether it was 06 or 07 I really don't know.
Or perhaps it wasn't available but became standard on the Adventure series package only? I just don't know this bit of Volvo options trivia! [sly]

I remember seeing it on a window label on a new Adventure series in my dealer's showroom back in June 2007

Looks like the Adventure package include 4C, speed sensitive steering and some other items from the R ??

I checked a few XC70 with that package and all include 4C.

They do not include 4C
In fact, I've only seen two P2 XCs with 4C in the last 6 years!
Every Adventure Series I've seen did not have 4C

Correct. My 2007.5 did not come with 4c, but I believe it was an option. Here's a little writeup I found:

"The XC70 Adventure Edition is packed with value - nearly $9,000 worth of Volvo’s most popular options and accessories for the XC70 costing only $4,500. It includes the Climate Package, Premium Package and a dozen other “must-have” features. The Premium Package includes leather upholstery, eight-way power for both front seats, a power tilt-and-slide moonroof and a trip computer. The Climate Package includes heated front seats, headlamp washers and rain sensor system."

Thanks, I looked at 5 2007 XC70 with the Adventure package and all come with 4C ! I was trying to avoid them like plague and it's not easy to find a recent one without it unless I go older like 2004-2005.

Well then those dealers either ordered them that way or VCNA ordered some with and some without as this was an USA package.

Bottom line, this one IS an Adventure package
You could not order these wheels, they were strictly for the Adventure cars and were standard.
Optional 17s on XCs were different, similar but not the same.

The two XCs I've seen with 4C were 2006s

Thanks so it's not necessarily the Adventure package. I'll keep looking ;)

What are you looking for?
An XC with 4C?
You'll be looking for a long time. As I said, I've only seen two and I've bought many and looked at hundreds of others to buy.
My guess is that if 50 came to the US equipped with 4C that would be optimistic!
It really doesn't make much of a difference on an XC as the 4C only has two settings, not three like a R has.
Comfort and sport, no advanced
(I never drive one so I can't speak intelligently how it feels in an XC)

To end this discussion and to also note that Boosters are not a part of the Adventure series...

I'm looking for a XC70 WITHOUT 4C and it's hard around here since a lot come with 4C strangely...

That's VERY odd since most do not have it
I'll be happy to sell you a good one, what year(s)are you looking for and price range are you in?
(Start another post or PM me, let's not continue in this sale post)
