Would it be possible for one of you more senior bloggers to post a comprensive list of acronyms that are commonly used on this site and then make it a sticky?
For those of us who are new to the high tech world of the XC, we find it hard to understand sometimes.
Thanks
Al

Great idea, but where to start. There are so many and even more as you dig deeper in each area. Judging by your list of older Volvos in the signature line, your 01 V70XC has more computer subsystem acronyms. Being an 850 owner, you must know what RMS is :)

Volvo's diagnostic codes are broken down by subsystems on the car. This would be a good starting point. Page 11 of the following link has a good glossary of all the modules.

Astro:

You've missed the two most important ones in regard to P2 Volvos and I've aded a more common one as well. They are:

PITA - Used for any number of "features" that you have to deal with with these cars

SOL - What some owners are into until they buy their own VIDA/DiCE setup.

FUBAR - Typical condition of most upper and lower engine mounts. Can be used for other bits and pieces as well.

I'm sure that there are others.

Have fun,

Bill
