Modified XC sputters at 1500 rpm's...?????

I'm trying to figure out why my 01 xc is " sputtering around 1500 rpms.,. I have cleaned the MAF already and going to reset the ETM and possibly clean it today... its seems to be intermittent.. Any Ideas out there?

Are you throwing any CEL codes, if so which ones. I suspect a bad coil pack. They won't always throw a code when they are going bad until it totally fails but you will get intermittent rough running.

Also check all your vacuum lines. That can cause rough running...

got it figured out! Thanks - There was some oil that had leaked down into one of the coils actually - The coils are HD IPD from 6 months ago.. I also reset the ETM and computer.. now she runs really well and smooth!.. [thumbup]

Where did that oil come from? :confused:
When filling during oil change?
