I am assuming that "XC90 sales of 3,795 were the highest ever" means for any month as distinct from May 2002, 2001 etc. http://xc70.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

I don't understand how the 83.7% increase in the V70 range is accounted for by the V70R when they are importing a comparatively miniscule number of them relative to the numbers on the S60R. http://xc70.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif

Is the XC70 still counted in the V70 figures or is it now lumped into an XC category? http://xc70.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/huh2.gif

XC70 is counted in the V70 series category.

I assume too that the XC90 numbers are beng measured against previous month sales as well as year-to-year. Since there is not a lot of history.

Apparently XC70 sales are regionally strongest where demand for XC90's is high... go figure. Looks like spillover sales as well as people realizing the XC70 is very capable/comparable.

In the Bay Area, there is a wait now for allocated XC70's.

In other parts of the country too. Here in New England there are XC70's at dealers though, at least at the moment. Dealers who have may ship to those who don't.

Interesting. I attributed the XC70's on the lots in New England to the depressed economy here, but if you're saying that sales are down 3.5-4% overall there are other factors at work.

Good time to buy though! http://xc70.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

XC 70 still outsold V70 but V70 did poorly last year-as in all black & white reports the answer isn't always black & white. XC 70 still had good sales.
