2001 V70 XC Brake Lights

I have a question about my left and right rear brake lights not working (upper brake light works). I see from previous postings that the likely culprit is the brake light relay. Some posts say the relay is in position M15, but that position is empty. Other posts show a larger relay that you have to remove some interior panels to get to. Can anyone tell me which is correct? And how do I get that panel off???

Turns out that the relay is not in M15, but is the larger relay that is hidden behind the side panels in the cargo compartment. The single, larger relay is no longer produced and now requires the use of two separate relays, one for the brake lights and one for the rear fog light.

Thanks for the info, my 2001 XC just started having an intermittent problem with the brake lights. I seem to get the message when OAT is under 30 or so degrees fahrenheit.
