HU-613 External Amp Cable

This may be too obscure of a question but here goes.

I am adding an aftermarket powered sub. This unit has the option of speaker level or line level imputs. I have seen the amp cable on ebay that allows rca connections to the OEM head unit. My question is can I use that cable to send a line level signal to the sub woofer and still have the head unit power the full range speakers?

I want to do the same thing! I am awaiting any answers u get! I have the sub already but I don't want to swap my head unit! If this works I will be too hype. I hope somebody like JLR chimes in soon!!!!! Fingers crossed!!!

I am pressing on. I purchased the parts to make my own cable since it is easy and far cheaper. $18 for $4 of parts is crazy.
