Center console scratched?

We recently bought an 04 XC with charcoal black interior. The leather is in good shape but the plastic panels on the outside of the center console are pretty scratched up. It almost looks like the panels were painted and it has begun to rub off. Anyone else have this issue -- or better yet, have a solution?

I don't know how people do this but yes, they do scratch
You can paint them
I had to paint it on the last two V70s I had including that low mileage 04 V70R

Well, I tackled this project today. I tried to remove the console with the intention to paint and reinstall it, but it turned out to be a lot harder than meets the eye. So, instead I cut up a cardboard box, taped off the edges of the console and sprayed the panels directly. It worked really well, and appears that it's drying VERY close to the same color and sheen of the factory trim. Nice!

Hoping that the bumper paint's durability stands up well over time. Says that it has superior adhesion and one would think it should have more scratch-resistance as well.
