NEED help from wise volvo owners

Hey guys, My wife and I are looking for a volvo XC70 but I wanted to know what your recommendations are? What year (s) are the best. I am looking for a 04 or newer and have heard and researched some issues with previous years. I have owned multiple 850 T wagons and love them.
Best years?
What to look out for? (major problems)
I am a pretty good garage mechanic so I can fix most things but are there any years that have major issues or typical problems.. stuff like that.

Anyways sorry to bomb this forum with this kind of first post but if I get one Im sure I will be back here often.
Also are there specific years that have the rear (third row seat). Its a must for us.

2006 or 2007. By 2007 almost all the bugs worked out except the usual. Engine mounts, coil packs, control arms, idler arms, shocks etc.

Of this generation, I would buy a 2007 if it is in your range...

DO NOT BUT A 2001 or 2002....research transmission issues to validate if you like.....

Hi,
the first thing is to avoid hydraulic AWD the newer ones got AOC by Haldex and work better and is not so sensitive.
The older 850 auto.transmission 4speed was pretty robust but the newer 5speed auto seems to be failing more often.
the 6speed geartronic is good match with D5 engine but is it robust enough, don't know yet after 111kkm.
the amount of electronics is propably a pain in future in any case.
