Pictures of wood steering wheel?

Most of the pictures posted in these forums are of the European 3-spoke wood steering wheel. Volvo claims that you can upgrade to the wood steering for $384 (part number 3409558) ableit hub. Does anyone have pictures or links to a wood steering wheel for a US XC70 (MC 31).

My friend had the FDC install this for $195 in Nov 1999. Also notice that his car is equipped with the Volvo Nav System (CD-ROM based).

Picture is straight from the Volvo website for car accessories.   It's probably out of date or its a generic picture for all Volvo models.   I am looking for a real picture of a current owner who has one for their 2002/2003 XC70.

This steering wheel seems belong to the S40-V40 model. Compare the dashboard with the attached photo.

Would the XC70 wood steering wheel be the same as the XC90? I saw that one last night at the dealer and it was 3 pronged and looked very much like the european one we have pictures of.  Very nice!!

I would be interested in finding a 3-spoke wheel. The 4-spoke doesn't have enough room for my hand. Does anyone know if this can be done? I have a 2002 XC. Milt

I speculate that if wanted the 3-spoke wheel to replace the standard 4-spoke XC70 steering wheel the cost would be large because the whole wheel is being replaced rather than just the rim.

I would estimate swapping just the rim would be &#036;150-&gt;&#036;250 whereas exchanging the whole wheel could be as high as &#036;600. This a akin to a kit cost vs. a complete wheel cost.

My parts Dept says Volvo will come out with a wood/leather steering wheel kit conversion for the XC70 in 2004 (maybe).
