Illuminated Side View Mirrors

Greetings All,
               Just wondering,in all published material,aside from the manual,it seems as though the lamps in in mirrors are to be lit upon entry/exit. I have yet to experience such an event.
  The lamps work with the key fob...any clues..??
  Could it be a software bug...???
  Did I pick the wrong day to stop sniffing glue...

If you are talking about the white lights under the exterior mirrors, they will light up along with the position lights if you press the yellow round button on your key pad.
It is a safety system made for when you approach the car when in a dark surrounding, either unlit interior garage or at night.

Nifty little thing. I used it often at my country place where the car is part far from the house and its pitch dark forest around.

On the 02 European spec you had to order it as an option. With that you would lose the XC mirrors and get the painted regular V70 mirrors instead.
