If I am looking at the decal correctly it looks like our 2001 is due for a servicing or replacement of the airbags. What is involved? Cost? I don't know that we have any problems but we did purchase this car because it is supposed to be safe, so we want the SRS to work properly.
Thanks.

SRS needs to be reset by the dealer.
Apparently, somebody disconnected an SRS electrical connector without first disconnecting the battery. That triggers the SRS light to come on.:(

Not sure he actually has an SRS fault light, I think he is looking at the stickers in the door jamb that say an SRS/airbag service should be performed when the car is ten years old.
I'm sure Volvo will happy to replace the airbags for you. Is there a real service to this?

Correct, we don't have a SRS service light but we saw the information you described. I called the dealer we purchased the car from and they said no need to do anything unless we see a light.
