2004 V70 XC Need Radio code

Hello, my battery went dead and I had to replace it. I did not go to a Volvo dealer to get the battery, thus I did not know I needed a code for the radio to be able to be used again.

Please help

Jay - the 04 XC70 doesn't require a 'radio' code. It either works or it doesn't - kind of black or white. I've ran my battery dead twice before (or my son did), but neither time did any requirement for a 'radio code' come up.

What kind of radio do you have in your XC70? Is it the Hu-613 or Hu-803?

Thank you all for the replies as yet I am still at a loss. I have disconnected the battery and reconnected it. The radio shows "CODE" and after a few inputs it posts "OFF"

If I am requesting this in a wrong thread let me know and I will repost in another area. Thanks

'01 and newer radios do not need a code' like the older ones.

If you radio is requesting a code, is possible that the radio has been swapped along the way, and only the dealer with the radio SN will be able to give you the code.

Take the car to your local dealer.
