I have owned this XC since brand new...interior is perfect except the "leather" wrapped steering wheel, it is peeling and looks awful...I drove our 93 Ford F150 for 10 years (we purchased that brand new also), it is 17 years old and leather on its steering wheel is great, not a hint of peeling, and probably never will...what is up with this leather? The service people at the volvo dealership passed it off as caused by hand lotion breaking it down...nothing different from the F150...anyone having the same problem...like I said the rest of the car looks brand new...and the stuff peeling off is thin and rubber looking stuff under-this really doesn't look like any leather I've seen before...
