Hi all,

here is the problem:
i have replaced all the bulbs on my 2002 xc (left side) - rear, front. Checked the fuses.
Still when I turn the left turn light it is flashing TWICE as fast as my normal right side and the display says - 'bulb failure.left turn signal'.
The lights are all ON and flashing, but with abnormal frequency and error message in the display.

Thanks for any suggestions how to fix it,

Ale

Check the socket terminals for corrosion/contact. If that doesnt fix it then it could be ground or other wiring problem.

Had the same problem. I swaped holders to make sure. Only a $6 part at Volvo.

The problem is a bad ground in the socket where the ground terminal contacts the base of the bulb holder. It arcs over time, then burns a bit, and then you have a high resistance on ground side. There's enough continuity there to allow a bit of flash off the park filament.....just not enough to fire the turn signal filament.
