7-pin trailer plug question

Forkster - I thought you were past this issue. I thought you had someone wire-in a 7 pole plug to your '04.

Remember that weird issue I was having with my car where it would basically shut down electronically? The indy shop I take it to thinks the regulator in the custom 7-pin might be causing my issue.

Good question. My guess is 'probably' but it's hard to say for 100% sure without comparing schematics. I have the '04 schematic, but don't know where to get an '05+ version.

What are you pulling that needs the 7 pin connector? Do you really need all 7 inputs, or could you just connect the OEM 4 wire harness to the 7 pin connector and leave 3 unused?

The first 4 wires are ground, brake/turn left, brake/turn right, and tail-lights. The next three are brake control, battery charge and back-up lights.
