Hi folks,
I have had the ProClip mount for iPad in my car for about a month now, and am very happy with the results. I used the regular vent mount, plus the iPad clip. I also added a piece of velcro to the lower corner of it (clip to dash) to eliminate potential vibration.
it's not cheap, but it does work well. Combined with the dension integration I have, it's a perfect mix for my needs.
Obviously this shouldn't be used for viewing things while driving, but it does make it very easy to add gps/map functionality and music playback and does not interfere with line of sight.
I plan to add a headrest mount as well, also from ProClip.
