Hand Break Adjustment - any links with pictures?

hello everyone,

looked through the forum, online,but can't find any instructions with pictures how to adjust my hand break (goes way to high to engage)... on my 2002 xc.

Any links, hints, or even posts with pictures will be greatly appreciated!.

For automatic put the car in park. For manual put the car in 1st or reverse. Release the handbrake. Pry the surround off from around the handbrake with a plastic tool, the rear is the easiest place. Lift up the boot and you'll immediately see the adjustment nut. Tighten several turns, test the handbrake position, it should be good with 3 clicks. Replace boot and plastic surround.
