02 XC want start

Hi,
I and my wife have noticed that our new 02 V70 XC didn’t start as usual. We got our car in October, 25 2001. In fact it starts after 4-6 seconds after the key was turned in the ignition, like a battery is very weak. It doesn’t happened all the time but since we got the car we encountered it 5-6 times could it be moisture in the fuel tank or it’s ignition problem?
If any of you, guys know about this, pleas post your notes

I encountered a similar problem with my '01 XC during the initial stage of ownership, but only during the winter months. Like your car, mine would take longer than usual to start. Almost a year later, and well into our coldest part of the season, the problem has not reoccurred. I can't explain this phonomenon, but it might be a good idea to consult your service dept. and hear what they have to say. Even with a '02 XC, I guess it would'nt hurt to have them test the battery, check for loose starter wire plugs, faulty starter relays or perhaps even the ignition switch or electric fuel pump connector. I'm working on it, just need to clean the car, take a pictures, scan them to computer and will post them here - hopefully will do it next week
