I recently purchased a V70 XC Wagon and love it. Unfortunately I had a fender bender at very low speed this week. I didnt even indent the bumber of the car in front, yet my air bags deployed. Now I have a mess!
I will appreciate any thoughts on the air bag sensitivity. I dont think they should have deployed based on the low speed I was traveling.
Also, the rear seat belts locked up, but the front belts did not. Any thoughts on how I should proceed with this? A body shop is wanting to charge over $6,000 with new dash, bags, stering wheel, belts etc. The car is not worth much more No one will recover the dash vinyl/leaqther without new bags being installed, and I am looking at having to come out of pocket for as much as I could just about buy another used one..... Any help/thougths will be appreciated......
