 I have a 2003 XC70. the tires on the car are 215/60/16's. Under the fuel filler door the tire specs says 215/60/16's. Yet while shopping for tires on line or at local tire stores they all seem to pull up 225/65/16's as the correct tire size for my XC.
I assume I have the correct tire size on the car since it matches the information behind the fuel door.
I do not have a problem purchasing 225/65/16's and seem to have a wider selection of tires in that size, but i am concerned if I would need to utilize the spare tire the problems that this may pose.
Has anyone else have 215/60/16's as OEM?

Actually, the 215/60R16 are not the correct size - the OEM size should be 215/65R16. Unless you upgraded the wheel size to 17 or 18" at the time of purchase, it's that size.

I have 235/60R16's on mine for the summer and 215/65R16 for the winter.

So why then under the fuel filler door does it say 215/60/16?

I have not upgraded wheels on the car and the tires match the size called out on the label behind the fuel door.
I guess I will check the spare tire size and install new tires per the size of the spare.
