Hi all,
How long are these bushes supposed to last? Mine are shot to pieces at 16 months post-replacement so I'm (a) slightly perturbed; and (b) wondering about better quality replacements.
So far I've found IPD's "firmer"-style front bushing (http://www.ipdusa.com/Volvo-V70XC70-2001-2007/Suspension-&-Steering/Front-Suspension/Front-Control-Arm-Front-Bushing/p-127-388-935-5449/) or standard-type front bush on said website. IPD don't offer different grades in the rear bushes of the control arm, just a variety of manufacturers. I also tried partsbin.com, who offer Lemfoerder, APA etc.
Has anyone tried any of the above? If so, would you be able to give your opinion on the products? I don't know the quality of the bushes currently in my car, so they could be quite cheap and nasty for all I know...
Many thanks

I would go with stock (OEM VOLVO) control arm bushings myself, not aftermarket

Hi Rosco,
Yes the front bushes are very bad for wear....especially the ones before the improved Volvo ones (well they were available for taxis and police car).
Of course powerflex have some for the front listed but you need to use your old metal pin from the bush.
Then there is Fulcrum here in Aus that makes a full kit including the new pin and they also have the rear one, all in poly type.
I sell these through the shop but unfortunately not cheap as Powerflex.

Cheers! [thumbup]
