Can someone tell me where I can get the part of the shifter your depress to change gears on a 2001 XC 70 automatic? It is plastic and broke off. I am hoping it does not require purchasing the entire shifter. Thanks!

You probably will.
IPD has a button repair kit but that's for GEN cars.

To my knowledge Volvo does not sell shifter parts separately.

If it's deceided that you need a shifter, buy used... [thumbup]

Junk yard. The guy I bought my car from picked one up there. It's a plastic piece with two holes that mate up to two small pegs on the shifter itself.

I can't imagine getting it out could be that hard.
