Kind of hard to replace a/c system components yourself. You need have a receptacle for containing the old refrigerant, a vacuum pump to vacuum dry the system afterwards and a sniffer to check for leaks once you've put it back together.

Yeah, I'll have it drained at a shop. I have a vacuum pump and gages to do the fill.

My firewall insulation on the 2001 XC70 is shot and I want to replace it, so I need to disconnect the pipes to the expansion valve. Once I do that, I want to replace the drier, vacuum and refill. But VADIS says I need to remove the condenser to get to the drier. My 911 was much easier to work on when I had to go from Freon to R134.
