Very nice!

I know some people either love it or hate it, but I do like that funky back-end. I prefer Gen 1's look, but the new stuff is definitely transitioning to the "future" well. Not a big fan of the rounded front-end though, I like the slightly more aggressive look of the older ones.

Congrats on a nice car!

Nice! Glad to hear the ride quality is good. That's what I was expecting, since as I was saying, the difference in profile between the tires on the 19's vs. the 18's is only 5%, the same as going from 17 to 18, which I'd heard from others wasn't really noticeable.

The wheels look pretty good and match the black body cladding! Well done!

Enjoy your new ride!

Well, there has been a few posts about the seat leather wear. I have now 70,000kms up and below are pics of the vented front seats as a comparison to others.

I have only minor creasing but my main cosmetic issue seems to have been from the way I get in and out, wearing the side piping trim. I try to be more careful now, given I only noticed it a couple of months ago.

The leather still seems quite soft and although a bit shiny on the bottom squab where I sit, I think they look quite good. I should have vacuumed the seats before taking pics as you tend to get sand and crumbs in the vent holes. I just don't think I could go back to "standard" seats again - the ventilation is very good in warm weather and certainly not a gimmick !

Also below are scans of a Volvo magazine article about "Elmo's" leather production.

More pics (now 169 in total somehow !) on the flickr site below...
