Windhsield and rear window washers

2005 Volvo XC70 - headlight washers work but windshield and rear window do not work. Are there two motors that would cause this problem?

There is one motor for the front and rear washers. It is reversed to select the circuit.

In my case, both f/r washers were clogged by coagulated Rain-X in the pump filter screen. Pulling the pump to access the screen requires removing the front bumper, which is less of an operation than you would expect. Here is my description of the solution.

You can dig around this forum and find schematics of the washer circuits to determine the routing for the headlight washers.

yes there are 2 pumps. had to replace my rear pump @ 40k. (under warranty)

Check the winscreen washers with the bonnet up , the pipe catches on the hinge sometimes on mine .
