2002 Cross Country dash

Can I install a used dash in my car??? Will it work OK? or does it need to be programed?
I realise the mileage will be differant but will a good used dash work correctly?
I can't get an answer from the dealer or anyone else, surely someone has tried this before.

Same year should be fine but the odometer will be off
