View Full Version : '06 T5 Shudders under mild acceleration

My first post so I hope I explain it right. We have an '06 T5 AWD. Recently, my wife has noticed what she described as slippage during moderate acceleration. Yesterday, I had occasion to drive it and noticed the same thing. To me, it appears to happen under moderate acceleration, and the 'shudder' seems to be coming from the rear. No code, no issues whatsoever at highway speeds with light acceleration or from a stop as long as I don't accelerate too fast. My niave guess is that it corresponds to the system trying to apply power to the rear axles.

Does anyone have any insight or experience with this? All feedback is greatly appreciated.

Don

Hi,
did you ever find out what caused this problem? I got the same symptom on my '03 AWD. It feels like i'm driving over a tiny little bump in the road with my rear wheels every second or so. Only happens when accelerating a little hard.
