The T6 a terrible history of early catastrophic transmission failure on the GM transmissions. Reading all of the tales of woe from T6 owners helped to keep me away from even considering a T6 when recently shopping.

Avoid early 2005 V8's also, or any that have had the engine washed. Engine
serial number after 6700 or so is more safe, but any with water put on the engine
can be a problem with the balance shaft.

Test drove a 04, 2.5T. Front end is very very odd (unlike others I drove). Tons of play, washing all over the place. Steering was tight but felt like i was driving a 72 impala. Suggestions on what to look for (i.e. ball joints, sway bar, ???).

I was told they are going to try and certify with new "small front end part." Not exactly specific. And the check engine light came on then off during test drive, when decent power applied.

Note - this is NOT a Volvo dealer. Car history has no real engine - tranny issues, or front end work. Hmmmmm.

"small front end part." = sway bar end links? They make popping noises.

In my experience, a "wandering" front end is usually due to worn ball joints.

sway bar end links - that's what's being replaced.

I would be very concerned with the engine light. Some of that stuff can be very
expensive to replace. Get the codes pulled and see what is setting the light.
