Dealer says that IR protected windscreen option is not possible when ordering with Adaptive Cruise Control.
I thought Cruise control radar is embedded in front grille?

Anyone have an XC70 with ACC?

Whether IR protected windscreen is connected to the ACC somehow, I don't know. But the ACC's radar (also used for collision avoidance system) is definitely in the front grill. Behind the windshield, above the rearview mirror, is a camera that is for the lane departure warning and driver alert system. Those possibly might be affected, though all the camera needs is "to be clean and free of ice, snow, or condensation". I can't see why/how the radar in the grill could be by the windscreen.

Take a look at them in the manual yourself:
