Power steering whine

I have a 98 XC70 that has a whine in the power steering when I make a hard turn to the right or left. The rack was just replaced because it was leaking, however the whining noise is still there. I have looked at replacing the power steering pump, however they keeps commenting on the pump leaking. It doesn't leak, it just makes this noise. Any suggestions?

Make sure you have the appropriate fluid level. If it's at all low, it will make some noise.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I actually ended up trading the car for a 2003 V70XC yesterday. I did tell the salesman about the whine and he didn't seem to be to concerned about it. Looks like now I will have to post in a different forum.. Thanks again.
