Here is one more mystery I thought I could throw out for all to chew on. Again, I have 1998 V70XC with 155M miles. The front end makes an audible low moaning sound, mostly at highway speeds. It gets louder when turning the wheel slightly to the right, such as when changing lanes. Less loud when turning to the left. No vibrations, nothing felt in the steering wheel. My first thought is hub bearing, but I suppose it could be the half shaft as well. Seems to be coming from the left side.
