IPD Turbo Control Valve with the silicone hoses.

Put these on my 01 T5 and 01 V70XC. WOW, new lease on life as acceleration improvement is very significant. I guess pressurized air must kick in quicker :)

Cost just over $100 and I can't think of a cheaper way to get that much performance gain.

Make sure you put the silicone hoses in. Without them, there is no improvement. I only replaced 2 hoses as the third one seem difficult to reach.

Howard's post is from 2010. Today Ipd charges much more for their kit. Snabb also produces a different kit for the same bottleneck. Perhaps someone could post a comparison of the different hardware. Thanks.

Or build your own

I built my own on my original post and it works great.

One thing to note is that new TCV with old hoses gains nothing. It is necessary to have the new silicon hoses. Which might suggest the old TCV with new hoses might get most/all the benefit. I never tried it but you might give that a try first :)
