2004 XC: "Transmission Service Required" + check engine light

Hey there,

Wanting to prepare for my trip to the dealer. 2004 XC70 - 52.5k miles

Situation: Driving to train station this morning I noticed more of a 'jolt' going from Park to Reverse out of the garage. Shifting was a bit erratic during acceleration (seemed to lag in spots). No limp mode or anything. After about 5 minutes of driving "Transmission Service Required" appears and Check Engine light goes on. Otherwise car has been running smoothly.

I've read a lot of posts about 2002 transmissions, etc. Just wanted to get prepared for trip to dealer, so any advice, thoughts, or prayers ;) are welcome.

sounds like the same issue i m having... so far my dealer hasn t been able to diagnose the issue... i ve had 2 $120 car washes, i guess you still have to pay even thought they can t put their finger on the problem...

if anyone has any ideas i d love to know as well... i ve already had a $300 software upgrade done about 5 months ago...
