New Wipers

I installed new wipers and for some reason I hear a "slap" when apparently the left wiper blade hits the molding on the windshield. Never heard this noise with the original blades and the new blades are OEM Volvo blades. Are these new blades for some reason traveling just a bit further than the old ones and if so can I unbolt the blade arm from the wiper motor shaft and rotate it one position to the right to eliminate this noise?

On my '04 the blades are different sizes for driver and passenger side. Did you perhaps transpose them when installing?

Mine are also different sizes, but I checked that and they are installed correctly.

Our new to us 05 also has the driver side wiper hitting the windshield trim? Is there some adjustments or did the prior owners just put on some "unapproved" wipers?
