New XC70 Commercial

"Isn't it more fun to chart your own course?"

I was just watching Law & Order from last Thursday night (thanks Tivo&#33http://xc70.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif and saw a new Cross Country commercial. It's a short one -- at least the version I just replayed 5-6 times.  http://xc70.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Donald Sutherland is once again the narrator -- oh, and I met him in a sushi bar in Santa Monica last month and he really does love Volvo's (saved his life once).

So, the setting for the commercial is a four-some playing a round of extreme golf. Running thru fields, forests, and streams to get to their golf balls -- and driving their Ash Gold XC.

The call to action is a US$449/month lease offer -- in case we have some members who haven't taken the leap yet.

Oh another thing...

I feel pretty luck (or is it a statement of my life?  http://xc70.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif ) to see a Volvo commercial almost every morning while getting ready for work. That is, if I'm in town. My local (Portland, OR) NBC station plays different Volvo commercials w/ local dealer tie-ins during the early morning news program.

Are you planning to do any paddling this season? I'm heading out the first week of May to Barkley Sound for 6 days. I've been suffering from winter doldrums so I'm itchin' to get out on the water. http://xc70.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

BTW, you still thinking about getting a XC90?
