What is this, and will it throw a CEL?

My CEL has been going on and off, throws code ECM-261a. Found this sensor zip tied by the previous owner, could my search be over? What is the sensor? It sits just in front of the air filter box. Thanks in advance gurus.

According to any earlier thread:

"1171 corresponds to volvo code ecm-261a and 1174 corresponds to ecm-260a. these are both upper limit faults.

according to vadis, potential causes could be the following;

intake air leak
exhaust air leak
low fuel pressure
faulty heat o2 sensor"
