Some soab hit my Volo!

Sometime overnight, hit the front driver's side bumper - it exploded!

So, new bumper, DS light and fog light, ok, but I'm really concerned about the fender, obviously replace & paint but ....

...the front fender now sits out of alignment as does the DS light fitting, does that suggest some components of the frame are bent or could the misalignment just be due to malformation of the fender or do you really have to pull the whole thing apart to figure that out? Just want to be prepared for the insurance adjuster's BS tomorrow.

just looks like simple bolt on bolt off parts nothing more .

I would call your inusrance agent have him pay you and buy all the parts from Erie .

And make a few 1000 while at it :D

You read my mind :) Besides, I need that $1000 to put towards my new transmission ;)

Most of it is super straight forward, as long as a new fender will go back in correctly I have no issue with just ordering all new parts from a discount source and doing it myself. I just don't want to get to the stage of trying to fit a newly painted fender to find out it doesn't line up correctly because something more serious that was overlooked is out of alignment.

Obviously NOT a new fender!
That's a simple body shop repair that will take all of 20 minutes to get it into primer.
I've straightened out dents that were 5 times worse.

As they say, you can buff that right out, all that will be left is a very small dent and a little bit of paint off the metal right near the light (and most of that too will come off)
Most of those marks will be gone

I woudl check with Erie or Vandale for the parts you need.

THe plastic peice that holds the bumper I would buy new since most of them have the tabs broken off :(
