Lower driver's seat in '01-07 XC70?

Hi,

I'm new to the board and currently looking for the right 2nd gen XC70.

Is there any way to lower the driver's seat further than the factory adjustments? Or does Volvo make any other seat track kit (IIRC they used to have one for the 240 series back in the day).

At 6'6", any additional space that I could get would be helpful.

I'll go drag up this old thread. My problem is a little different - insufficient leg room. Has anyone figured a way to move the driver's seat back a little to offer an inch or two more space? The rear of the left hand track fastens to the floor at an angle so the typical flat strap extender wouldn't work.

No and no without major surgery
I do not thnk you can make it lower, maybe extend the track rearward but not lowered.
I tried that with my R (higher seats) and it was a no go

Well, I just need rearward. OP was looking for lower.

I suppose I could make some flat strap extenders for the front bolts, then some kind of trapezoidal shaped hollow channel for the rear ones.

Might start with just raising the front an inch, that would be easy - made a huge difference on my Honda Insight.
