2002 engine torque bracket. The rubber bushing is clearly bad. It's dried out and separated with half missing. Should I replace the whole engine torque bracket assby or just the bushing. If just the bushing, what type do you recommend?

Thanks
Myron

round braket or square one ?

Round one = IPD
Square one = dealer

it's the original bracket.

Whichever one you want

If replace the bushing with the IPD product it will work fine but you will feel some vibration in the steering wheel at idle. The newer square bushing Volvo mount is used as the replacement for vehicles that originally came with the round set up.

This is mine. I assume that it is the round mount? Note the serious lack of bushing on the front side.

That is the round mount. You can either get new bushings from a source like IPD and reuse the bracket you have, or you can buy a new bracket either the old round style (but I don't think too many dealers still have them) or the newer square bracket. IPD actually sells both replacement bushing mount inserts or the new bracket. I just replaced mine a couple of months ago with the IPD round (like yours!), and am very happy with it. Easy to do, took about half an hour, and the poly provides that good, solid Volvo feel! Just be sure to upgrade the shipping from UPS ground, Oregon to jersey took over a week!
