Does anyone know how to shut off the service lamp after you reach 7500 mi? with out going to the dlr. I changed the oil every 3 thousand mi. myself.

Hi!

Press and hold odometer reset button.
Turn ignition switch to "run" position.
After SRL flashes, release odometer reset button.
Turn ignition off, then back on to confirm reset accepted.

I tried this, and it got my curiosity up.

Is there any thing else you can do like this?

I played with it a bit, and held the button down and put the car into the accessory position - it beeped and showed a "26" on the computer display.     Hacking with the various controls didn't do anything else though.

I'd like to find a way to reset the car's computer (clear all error messages, and have it re-detect for problems) without going to the service center.

Thanks Ciao
Worked great. We took ours into the dealer at 3200 miles for new car cosmetic work and I decided to have them change the oil. At around 6500 our service light came on. Scared my wife at first until she relized what it was.
Thanks again
I was getting tired of looking at it and a dealer visit for us, is an hour away.
