Navigation System Not Responding

My 2004 XC70 has a Nav System, and the disk system tries to read, but can not. Either its faulty disks or the player (I can hear it spinning); has anyone else had this issue? I'm not sure whether to first replace the disks or the player.

Have you tried taking out the disks to see if they are seated properly? How about ensuring the disks are clean or if the player needs a cleaning?

Just bought an 02 SE Auto. Unfortunately the Sat Nav system cannot read the disc and it woul appear that it is stuck as I cannot eject it, as I would hope a thorough clean would remedy the problem.

Can anyone suggest a way forward ?
