outer tie rods - covered under warranty?

Hi - I had my 07 in to a tire shop recently to get a tire replaced, and they said the outer tie rods needed to be replaced. Haven't been to the dealership yet, but is this kind of thing covered under the factory warranty?

If you're in warranty, absolutely
(at least down here they are)

Should be. I have a 2007 xc70 and they were replaced at 19K and 30K! This was covered by my warranty.
