Transmission interlock 'click'

With the radio off and the car in park I can hear a 'click' or even almost a 'thunk' at the AT shifter when I place my foot on the brake. I am assuming it is the AT and brake interlock which prevents you from shifting into gear without depressing the brake but should I be able to hear it? Again it is really only audible if the radio is off and the HVAC system fan is off.

Yup, it's normal.

I have it too, perfectly normal. Try touching the brake with your hand on the shifter...you can feel it too.
