Hooray! Transmission fixed after 6 months of ownership.

Bought my 53 plate XC70 2.4D last September and has been back and forth from the garage trying to cure the jolting from 2nd to 3rd gear. The valve seal was eventually changed but the problem came back, although it has never been perfect. Today they replaced the B4 piston kit:confused:, and it's done the trick. I now have a super smooth change through all gears. Soooooo releived it's fixed.:D

Glad to hear your problem got fixed with a inexpensive solution. [thumbup]

I am surprised that yours is an '03 and not an '01, that's usually the one with the B4 servo problem.

If you are referring to the B4 fix, it isn't too bad. Can be a bit fiddly, but it almost takes longer to get the car up in the air than it does to change out the cover. Best $14 I've spent on this car.
