Have developed a noticable whining noise from the front end that changes pitch when changing speed. Have recently changed front pads and rotors without any problems. PS reservoir and hose recently changed, reservoir is at full mark, so I don't this it's PS pump.
Vehicle is approaching 99,000mi
Any ideas?

Wheel bearing (common)
This is a classic symptom if it changes pitch.
Go around a corner and see if it changes pitch, if so, 100% it's a wheel bearing

Is the noise there when the car is sitting still? Could be a noise from the engine area.

Dave.

Sounds much to me like what I've just been through....front bearings. Hard to figure out which one it is, even though you may think so....makes sense to have both done at once, as if one is bad, the other's likely to follow shortly.
Mine were approx. $300 per side at my indy mechanic....best of luck.
