Code 2407 Evap Emission System Leak

Anyone ever pull this code on a 2003 XC70? I read a bit. Some suggest its just the gas cap. Lets assume thats not the case. what else could it be?

Yep - usually when my wife doesn't put on the gas cap properly... I just clear the code. It sometimes comes on when its real cold. I'm going to replace the gas cap rubber seal this spring just to be sure. :)

A fuel tank vent hose that's part of the evap emissions system, but I like the gas cap solution much better. ;) Much less trouble to fix.

same thing, same year. been living with the CEL. where is the hose?

Every car has vent hoses on the fuel tank, you don't want to go there though. Try a new gas cap first. I had the same deal on my Dodge Ram. The dealer replaced several tank hoses under warranty. CEL kept popping up over many months. I bought a new gas cap and never had trouble with it again.

I'mvon gas cap #3, Volco OEM. Not it. So, I have to go there. Local dealer quoted $500-600 to drop the tank and replace a sensor, I can live with the CEL for that. I can vacuum test hoses though. Wondering where to start.

Well...I bought a code reader and cleared everything. So far so good. Lets see if it holds.
