Steel gargo barrier ?

Hey,
I have the steel cargo barrier, I tried to mounted in the holes above back doors since the hole shape is the same but It is too wide by about 3/4" even with pressed springs.
Anyone was able to install it there, It's kinda stupid if they made two different widths of mounting....

I agree, it IS kind of stupid but I've never seen a fix :(

I think the forward mountings are for something else.
Coat hangers come to mind.

Anyway even if you could get the pins to slot in, the barrier won't lock down; the front seats stop the unit going over-centre and springs up again.

IMHO it's one of the most useless gizmos that come with the car (together with the shopping bag holder that flops as soon as you clip a loaded bag to it).
It is only useful with the rear seats up - and what is wanted is something solid when using the whole load length.
That said the Police over here use it all the time - you should see what the carry in the back!
