This is not that kind of question. We have covered many, many, MANY!, times on how to fit it underneath the tray. I am interested in the specs of a replacement wheel. I want to shop around for a cheap, ugly, steel wheel to mount one of my old tires (225/60-16) as a spare. Does anyone know the wheel spec's for an 02 V70 XC? ...yes, I looked in the manual. [thumbup]
Size: 7 x 16
Bolt Pattern: 5 x 108
Offset: 49mm
IIRC, the stock tire size was 215/65/16. You could also check with your local salvage yard to see if they have a used Tellus wheel kicking around.

I scored an almost new matching alloy on Ebay for $75. plus shipping, from a Volvo dealer. Lucky for me, I was the only bidder, as it was an auction for a single wheel. At least you won't have to pay teh $80+ for the tire pressure monitor to go in the wheel :)

The original size was 215/65-16. The clown who owned the car before me installed 225/60-16. The manual says to check inside the fuel door for tire size info. The only thing inside my fuel door is pretty Ocean Race blue. Previous owner must have replaced the fuel door too.
Actually I think more than a couple of us run tires in that size because there's a better selection of tires to choose from. There aren't many vehicles that spec 215/65-16 for the OEM size and 225/60-16 is very close to the same diameter.
FWIW, I believe the tire sticker in US vehicles is somewhere around the driver's door.

Sorry if my "clown" comment offended anyone. I had a bad CPO experience. When we originally got the car we found many broken and incorrect parts installed. I did not get a CPO checksheet and had to go back and request it. They did not have it, so I waited while they scampered to forge one up. I watched them do it while I waited outside their little glass office. Volvo's warranty people stated that they would not warranty the incorrectly installed parts because they were not defective - just wrong parts. The CPO process is up to the individual dealers to accomplish and they each do it in their own special way. Translation: If the dealer feels that taking two minutes to verify the car has a Volvo logo then sending Billy around back to give it a car wash qualifies as certification, then that will do. I have had to fight like mad to get stupid little things fixed. I just thought it was typical when I found the tires were not factory spec.

I also would like to upgrade to a full size spare. Currently I have Goodyear Assurance TT on there and they are directional, which makes a full size spare pointless (would only fit one side, lol). Unfortunately these tires are pretty new, luckily I drive a lot of miles :) So, when they get near the end of their lifespan I am going to install the Yokohama Geolander A/T-S tires, only A/T tires than come in 215/65/16 so I figure why not. I used them on my truck and they were great tires, "H" speed rating too, pretty good for an A/T tire. So anyway, say I put one on the spare, well, fine, but then consider the following, 50,000 miles later I get a flat and want to put the spare on to drive home 5,00 miles from North Carolina or something. Isn't there going to be a significant diameter difference between the spare tire and the 3 worn tires on the vehicle? So I'm wondering, if I do that, should I rotate the tires swapping between the spare every time. That will mean I have to get a Tellus wheel, but they are easy to pick up for less than $100 used. Then due to rotating tires on and off every 5,000 miles, there will be a difference of 5,000 miles on the tires on the car, which shouldn't be a problem should it?
