I need some help. At a recent service I was told the plug in my '04 XC90 need changed. So I checked out my scheduled maintenance, sure enough it was time. Getting to my question. What plugs can I use. The service manager told me the only thing that I could put in were Volvo OEM plugs. What?? He told me that if I didn't I would have engine misfire codes popping up on the OBD. Any truth to that? Any one changed the plugs with something else? What is the best plug to use. On the Lexus sites everyone raves over the Torquemaster plugs. I could use some help with this, please.

Have seen several folks that have used other plugs that dont last as long as OEM. You
can find OEM plugs on the WEB for much less than the dealer.

I am sure there are other brands that can be used with no issues. Anyone else here use other than the OEM brand?

Chav, I would get a set of Bosch plugs.

I believe they are the supplier to Volvo.
You can get them from any autoparts retailer or IPD.
